The Sage VT2 rod series is comprised of two models: a single handed and a two handle model. The rods start at 7'9" and go all the way up to the 14'4" double handed salmon rod. All rods are a 4 piece design which makes them a perfect travel rod. These are high performance rods that fall into the mid price category (value line for Sage). Most of the rods in this series are designed for river or small still water fishing but there are a few salt water rods that feature all metal reel seats. The rods feature a blue finish and are trimmed with black and silver whippings. The handle is constructed from Grade 1 cork.

Fisherman give the Sage VT2 series strong marks. The rods are extremely accurate and are great for roll casting. This rods are also excellent for multi species fishing which is nice. This rods are also fast action which people may or may not prefer depending on your casting style. The one complaint we heard a couple times about this rod is it doesn't have a ton of power but that it should be great for 60 feet and closer. If you are looking for a Sage rod but don't want to drop a lot more money for some of their higher end lines, the Sage VT2 is a great "budget" choice.
