The Sage Flight Rod is a budget priced Sage rod that still offers the high quality of Sage fly fishing gear. The Flight series rods use Sage's G5 technology and is an update of the FLi series. The flight series is great for trout fishing and has great line speed and rod feel. Flight series rods are available separately or in line weights of 4-6, 8 and 9 with a Sage 1800 series reel.
Fisherman have great things to say about the Flight series. It is a great trout rod and is very reasonably priced compared to some other rods in the Sage line. One reviewer did note that the cork had begun to wear away on his rod after a few months but that was the only complaint we had heard. The same reviewer did say he was able to land a 5lbs rainbow on his 5wt rod, which is pretty impressive.
